NOTE 01 / SHORT READ

Names that explain themselves

Geometric illustration

A filename should tell you what a document contains without requiring you to open it. Use a short subject, a date when it matters, and a version marker only when there is a real distinction.

Keep the pattern consistent rather than clever. Avoid calling several different files final. A predictable naming convention becomes more valuable as the collection grows.
