Write a note for the next reader

An archive often outlives the context in which it was made. Add a short text file explaining the folder, its sources and anything that might otherwise be mistaken for a finished result.

The next reader may simply be you in six months. A few plain sentences are often more useful than a complicated structure that nobody remembers how to navigate.
